The eighth season of Teen Mom 2 began airing on MTV on July 17, 2017 and conluded on July 30, 2018. Before the season began, a special titled The New Mom aired on July 3, 2017, 2 weeks before the season premiere. On October 11, 2017, MTV has extended season 8 to include a "B" season.

On June 22, 2018, the series was renewed for a ninth season.
