Kailyn Lowry (formerly Marroquin) is a cast member on Teen Mom 2. In 2009 at the age of 17, Kailyn from Nazareth, Pennsylvania got pregnant by her then-boyfriend Jo Rivera.
History[]
Kailyn was born March 1st, 1992 to FATHER and Suzi Irwin.
Kailyn's episode focuses on the lack of support she receives from her own family, forcing her to rely on Jo's family. On January 18, 2010, Lowry gave birth to son Isaac Elliot Rivera.
In Late 2010, MTV announced that they were doing a follow-up series Teen Mom 2, which follows the lives of four new girls from Season 2 of 16 and Pregnant just like their first season Teen Mom, Kailyn was one of the four girls picked for the show. In season 5, Kailyn fell in love with Javi Marroquin and gave birth to their son Lincoln Marshall her second child, on November 16, 2013.
On April 23rd 2015 Kail and Javi shared in a statement that suffered a miscarriage at 25 weeks, to a baby girl who they named Nevaeh Rae, after a few months Kail and Javi called it quits on their marriage.
On August 5th 2017 Kail welcomed a son with boyfriend Chris Lopez named Lux Russell, 3 years later they welcomed another boy named Creed Romello in 2020.
Kail began dating Elijah Scott in 2022. The following year, in November; Kail and Elijah became parents to their first child, a boy named Rio Scott; however, Rio’s birth was not publicly announced until a few months later in the summer of 2023. As of October 2023, Kail is still currently in a relationship with Elijah and she recently announced on her social media that she and Elijah are expecting twins in 2024; a gender reveal confirmed Kail to be having a boy and a girl, meaning she will have overall, six sons and one daughter. In February 2024, Kail gave birth five weeks early to her last two children and named them Verse and Valley.

Up until the 10th season of Teen Mom 2; Kailyn was one of the original TM2 moms to have three children by three different fathers; she then went on to have a fourth child with the same father as her third child in 2020.
Kail has had a troubled childhood, resulting in her father abandoning her when she was a baby and becoming estranged from her when she was pregnant at 17 years old.
At some point in her life, Kail came out to her friends, including her co-parents of her children as bisexual, given that she had a brief relationship with her best friend, Dominique.
Kail was the one who drove out to New Jersey to help coworker, Jenelle Evans travel back to North Carolina when she was with her then boyfriend, Kieffer Delp and strung out on heroin and marijuana.
Kail has the most controversial relationship with fellow coworker, Briana DeJesus which has never been resolved in the years that they have known each other.
Kail considers Leah Messer to be one of her closest friends out of all of the moms on Teen Mom 2.
Shortly after her son, Lux was born; Kail revealed during one of her podcasts that she was diagnosed with PCOS; hence why she found it difficult to lose weight after giving birth.
In 2022, Kail was diagnosed with depression. She revealed this in an interview with Nessa and Dr Drew when she attended her final season reunion via video chat. She also revealed that her life was almost claimed during a domestic violence incident with Lux and Creed’s father, Chris Lopez which took place in 2019.
The reason why Kail stopped getting more tattoos on her body was because she developed a phobia of needles.
She is best friends with the wife of her ex-boyfriend; Vee Rivera, despite past issues with her when she joined the show in 2012.
It is currently unknown of Kail’s mother’s whereabouts; Suzi tried to reconnect with Kail for the first time in six years back in 2020, but Kail told her she had to change her ways before becoming a part of her life again. It is possible that Suzi did not take her daughter’s advice three years later, as the mother and daughter are still not in contact.
Kail has not seen nor been in contact with her biological father since 2009 when she was pregnant with Isaac.
