David Martin Eason is a former supporting cast member on Teen Mom 2. He is the ex-husband of Jenelle Evans.
History[]
David met Jenelle on a dating app called Tinder in late 2015. They officially met in person in September of the following year. Jenelle soon introduced David to her mother, Barbara Evans in December 2015. But Barbara did not approve of David later on because he was starting to show controlling behaviour towards Jenelle and her two sons. David reported Barbara to the police when she arrived at Jenelle's house without her knowledge. Barbara denied this allegations and told the police that Jenelle knew she was at the house but Jenelle refused to see her for unknown reasons. She tried to charge David for assault by slamming a door in her face when he was on the phone to the police, but she never went through with it.
In August 2016, David and Jenelle announced on social media that they were expecting their first child together, which upset Barbara to the point where she claimed she was asked to leave her workplace because she was so upset over seeing the post. In January 2017, David and Jenelle's daughter, Ensley Jolie Eason was born and not long after, with the help of the producers of Teen Mom, David proposed to Jenelle and she accepted. During their move to their new house, David and Jenelle soon began to argue over little things which were often aired in a few episodes of the eighth season of Teen Mom 2. Eventually, David and Jenelle married in September 2017 without Barbara present because she was banned by Jenelle as punishment for her being awarded permanent custody of Jenelle's eldest son, Jace Evans. During a reunion, David got into an argument with Jenelle's ex-fiance, Nathan Griffith, his mother Doris and also Barbara. David tried to humiliate Barbara by calling her emotionally aggressive and mentally unstable towards Jenelle, who defended David during the argument. Accusations were made against David by Nathan and Doris after Jenelle and Nathan's son, Kaiser Griffith allegedly claimed that David would hit his butt with a stick as punishment for wetting himself. Nothing was proven and these allegations did not go any further as Jenelle praised David to the public and the CPS that he has never been physically aggressive towards her or their children. David was then fired from the show after he made racist and homophobic remarks towards the LGBT community because he and Jenelle were ridiculed for sharing a picture of Jenelle dressed in black leather clothing and holding a power rifle on the day of the Florida school shooting in February 2018. Therefore, filming with Jenelle and her family were limited, much to her frustration.
In the ninth season, David was reported by Jenelle to the police after she called 911 when David supposedly attacked her at their home while he was drunk. She later claimed it was a misunderstanding where she tripped over a hole and David tried to catch her but fell on top of her. No arrest was made against David that night. Jenelle felt pressured by both David and the crew of Teen Mom 2 to make a decision on whether or not to continue filming with the show. Realising that David would never be allowed to rejoin the show because of his disturbing past, Jenelle made the decision to leave the show temporarily. However, her contract was suspended and she was fired immediately in May 2019 after David shot their dog, Nugget for being aggressive with their daughter.
In 2020 during the COVID pandemic, Jenelle ended her marriage with David temporarily and considered moving to Nashville, Tennessee with Kaiser and Ensley, but the two soon made amends and Jenelle returned to her home in North Carolina several months later.
Four years later, Jenelle was granted permanent custody of her son, Jace and he moved in with her, David and his siblings. However he ran away from his mother's home on three different occasions. David was accused of strangling Jace and a CPS case was held against him. Both David and Jenelle denied these accusations to be true but Jace was taken into temporary foster care after an investigation took place and CPS decided to take David to court for the accusations made against him. It was soon revealed by Jenelle on her social media that she was filing for legal separation from David in February 2024. David also confirms that he and Jenelle had separated during one of his TikTok livestreams. David often branded Jenelle a control freak and even said she stopped him from getting work and being in contact with his family and friends. Jenelle stated that it was the other way around and that David was using her for her money. Since separating, Jenelle has blocked David on all of her social media.
David has not requested to visit their daughter but Jenelle made it clear if he were to do so, she would only allow him to see Ensley if he completed a mental health and psychological evaluation because she did not feel Ensley would be safe around him. It is possible as of June 2024 that after four months of living on their boat, David has gained their home through the agreements of their pending divorce. This was later confirmed to be false, as Jenelle stated that she still and always will own their house and will not be selling it unless there is an absolute must. David was confirmed to be living with another woman in North Carolina. David and the woman, whose name was later revealed to be Kenleigh Heatwole eventually revealed they were in a relationship.
In December 2024, it was revealed by Jenelle after she made a brief return to North Carolina that David was provided with an ankle monitor because he had still been harassing her and Jenelle received an alarm which tells her that if David is more than three metres near her, she is obligated to call the police. David was confirmed as to be having an ankle monitor by Kenleigh when she posted a TikTok video of him wearing the monitor and looking seemingly pleased about it.

Out of all Jenelle's relationships, David was branded the most controlling and more terrifying partner Jenelle had a relationship with.
Jenelle knew that everyone was telling the truth about David being too controlling towards her but she chose not to believe it because she thought that he would change in someway and believed that he did love her.
Jenelle got pregnant by David seven months into their relationship. Like Nathan and Courtland, she got pregnant in under a year after meeting a man.
David was the main reason as to why Barbara would not give Jenelle custody of her eldest son, Jace. Jace often expressed emotional fear of David to both Barbara and his therapist. But whenever Jenelle questioned if what he said was true, Jace would deny it because he was frightened of getting into trouble with her and David.
David was recently arrested for exploitation involving children younger than Jace and his daughter, Maryssa.
When David's daughter and Jenelle's kids were taken out of their care back in 2019 because David killed the family dog in front of the family, Maryssa and Jace were confirmed to be two of the witnesses who expressed in court about how violent and verbally abusive David was to everyone. Maryssa was petrified that she would be in trouble with David for telling the truth but David manipulated her over the phone saying that she had mental health problems and that if she continued to "lie" about her father's behaviour that she would have to go and see a doctor about it. This is called mental manipulation of a child.
David has been separated and estranged from Jenelle since 2024 as she finally called time on their marriage because she wanted to gain custody of Jace after he fled from their home multiple times to get away from David and even so when David allegedly strangled Jace.
David has been in a relationship with TikTok influencer, Kenleigh Heatwole since mid 2024. They live in her house in North Carolina as David did not get the property on the land when Jenelle filed for legal separation.
David has not seen his daughter, Ensley since Jenelle separated from him and she expressed that she would never stop David from seeing their daughter but conditioned that he could see her if he had a mental health evaluation before seeing Ensley. He is in regular contact with his older daughter, Maryssa who is now 17 years old.
